Special Team Action...

That is a topic we put very early on our Roadmap - the Special Team.

As you know, in the current engine the Special Team is more or less a "roll the dice" thing. There are no Touchdowns by returning the ball, and the return yards on both punts and kickoffs are quite limited.

Right now we activated engine 3.2, for Friendly games(not Friendly Cups!) and Scrimmages. What's new with this update?

On both Punts and Kickoffs there is a real calculation now for tackle situations, even the Kicker/Punter can tackle now. This might result in a return touchdown, if the returning player is a bit fast and agile...

Punter might kick out of bounds now, based on their "understanding of the gameplay", the possible yards they could punt, the distance to the goalline, and some more conditions. And you know what happens when the punt goes out of bounds on the 3 yard line of your opponent...

What is not possible:

there are no returning touchdowns on kickoffs that were returned for touchdowns...
the ingame stats do not fully support the new Special Team mechanism now, will be added
the balancing of these new actions might be a bit odd, please go in the forum if you see such things - we will run further tests during the next days and will adjust the things if needed
there might be other bugs on that, if you see one...report them please
No Returns in Overtime for now...

Now, have fun watching your Kick returner in action...

Awards

The page onlinesportmanagers.com awarded another trophy to the "Best rated game in April 2013". And once more, we were able to defend our position on top of that ranking. A big thank you!

Here is just a small reminder about our rating competition: For each percentage you drive our score higher and higher, Credits will be paid. So what to do?

1.) Visit onlinesportmanagers.com

2.) Click "Best"

3.) Click "Play!" - which redirects you to RedZoneAction.org

4.) If you like the game, leave a nice comment over there ;)

Credits

While we are at it: Our rating over there is at 80.85% now. This means, you earned another 10 Credits. We will send another few Credits if you can push our rating above 81.5% until End of May '13.

How to get more Credits

There are, beside the purchase of Supporter Accounts and Credits, a few options to earn Credits. Remember our "Connect to Facebook"-post a few days ago. By posting Game-results or Press releases you can earn Credits, and draw the attention of your friends to RedZoneAction.org.

Another easy way is to spread the word in forums about Football, or whatever else. There is a so called Referral-Link available on the Credits-page. Each new user joining the game by using this referral is providing you some reward. Read more about it in our Post, made a few days ago

You could include the referral-link. Each visitor that clicks your link and joins the RedZoneAction.org-Community is "causing" some Credits on your account. More details - including your personal referral link - can be found here: http://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=help&subpage=credits#referral.

Connect RedZoneAction.org and Facebook

The veterans might remember: a manager could connect his/her RedZoneAction.org profile and his/her Facebook profile. By doing that, you can forward Press-releases to your Facebook-page. Your friends will then know if things change for your team here in RedZoneAction.org. If you win trophies, your friends will know that too. Finally, you can use your Facebook page like a Matchticker. The results get forwarded, and you can choose in your settings if we should do that or not. But why should you do that?

Two easy answers:

1.) You earn Credits for each single entry we are creating on your behalf on Facebook

2.) You spread the word about RedZoneAction.org, and maybe we can convince some of your friends to join the game

Of course you have full control of what we are posting. Just check the settings-area. At the settings you can activate the Facebook-connection, and chose on which events we notify your friends. If you don't like to have this connection anymore, just cancel the rights to post on your behalf in your Facebook privacy settings.

Start right now and activate the Facebook connector in your Settings.

Credits for Ranking, just another Payday...

Yes, once more you guys pushed our ranking on the page http://www.onlinesportmanagers.com/. We are now at 80.15%. This means, another 10 Credits are on the way to you, since the competition for a higher ranking is till active until end of May 2013. Thank you very much!. By pushing it further you receive more Credits next time, when we hit 80.5%.

How to push it further? Easy:

go to http://www.onlinesportmanagers.com/game-profile/football-140-red-zone-action/
press "Best" to give the game some good rating
press "Play!"
if you like, you could leave a nice comment on the bottom of that page too, might be someone is reading it, and feels he/she has to join the game due your comment

On a side-note : Did you know you could get some more Credits for free? It is very easy to do that. Just spread the word about how much you like the game, by writing reviews in forums, on your blog, on your homepage or even your Facebook-profile. You could include the referral-link. Each visitor that clicks your link and joins the RedZoneAction.org-Community is "causing" some Credits on your account.
